When I got married, I danced to Somewhere Only We Know. It was emotional, romantic, the kind of moment you hope stays with you forever.

And it did — but so did the shoes.

I wore painfully uncomfortable heels for photos. Then I changed into a pair of ugly dance shoes that totally clashed with my dress. They peeked out every time I moved. Every time I see a photo of them, I wince a little.

That was 2016; that moment planted a seed. 8 years later, it grew into LunaSol — a line of wedding dance shoes designed to be both beautiful and functional. Shoes that look good in photos and let you actually enjoy your first dance.

👠 Why I Created LunaSol

I’ve been dancing for almost a decade now, and I’ve had the privilege of training with @katya_kamnieva and @sasha_kamniev — two incredible ballroom teachers who have been endlessly patient with me. They’re the ones who introduced me to the world of ballroom dance and helped me fall in love with movement, grace, and the confidence that comes with it.

So when I got to watch them perform a full routine to Somewhere Only We Know — the same song from my wedding — I got teary-eyed before the first turn.

Katya danced the whole routine in our Blue Ballroom Shoe, and suddenly all the hard work I had put into launching LunaSol came to life. The shoe is elegant enough for the aisle, secure enough for turns, and comfortable enough to wear all night. It’s everything I wish I had on my wedding day.

LunaSol shoes are built like real dance shoes — because they are. But we reimagined them for the wedding world. That means:
